Orangutan: "Will you speak up for me?"

More than ten orangutans were slaughtered in a forest near palm tree plantation in Kutai, East Borneo, Indonesia. The Tribun Kaltim newspaper reported that local plantation company offered 60 - 230 USD for each orangutan caught by local resident. After the orangutans were given to the company, they were killed by beheading, then mutilated to remove the evidence. While this event took place in 2009-2010, we feared that the slaughtering continues and more orangutans were killed. The news written in Indonesian click here.

Terima kasih.
Hormat saya,

Dian Paramita
